Ingredients
For the Potatoes:
4 small potatoes
1 bowl of cheddar or parmesan cheese
Olive oil
Spices of your choice (thyme, red pepper flakes, black pepper, salt)
For the Yogurt Sauce:
1 bowl of yogurt
2 tablespoons of mayonnaise
1 clove of garlic (minced)
Mint & salt to taste
Instructions
Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes
Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft (about 15-20 minutes).
Drain and let them cool slightly before cutting each in half.
Step 2: Assemble & Smash
Preheat your oven to 390°F (200°C).
Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle some cheese on the tray.
Place the halved potatoes on top, then use the base of a glass to gently press them down until flattened.
Drizzle more olive oil and sprinkle with spices and extra cheese.
Step 3: Bake to Perfection
Bake in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes, or until the edges are crispy and golden brown.
