Ingredients

For the Potatoes:

  • 4 small potatoes

  • 1 bowl of cheddar or parmesan cheese

  • Olive oil

  • Spices of your choice (thyme, red pepper flakes, black pepper, salt)

For the Yogurt Sauce:

  • 1 bowl of yogurt

  • 2 tablespoons of mayonnaise

  • 1 clove of garlic (minced)

  • Mint & salt to taste

Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes

  1. Boil the potatoes in salted water until soft (about 15-20 minutes).

  2. Drain and let them cool slightly before cutting each in half.

Step 2: Assemble & Smash

  1. Preheat your oven to 390°F (200°C).

  2. Line a baking tray with parchment paper. Drizzle olive oil and sprinkle some cheese on the tray.

  3. Place the halved potatoes on top, then use the base of a glass to gently press them down until flattened.
